Ten Foot Falls

small cluster of drops a few yards off the road

Ten Foot Falls is the shortest named drop on Eagle River, a jumbled cluster of drops over grey volcanic rocks that empties into a deep pool. It is easy to reach, just yards from the road, and has a nice flat bank for viewing the falls. The upper section is composed of a wide chain of rapids before the river drops sharply over two separate plunges, splitting the water before flowing into the pool.

Directions

Turn left on M-26 from US-41, in Phoenix, and drive .8 miles before parking on the shoulder. Falls are visible from the roadside.
