Twin Falls

last drop before the Huron Mountain Club

Twin Falls is the last waterfall on East Branch Sturgeon River before it flows into the Huron Mountain Club. The lower drop is a powerful chute squeezed between two rock outcroppings with a weird, inverted-spoon-shaped rock splitting the current. A few yards upstream a small fork empties into a deep, dark pool. Both drops are surrounded by scenic old growth and moss-covered rocks.

Directions

Head west on the Northwestern Road from the Triple A for 4.8 miles to Dodge City, a tiny hunting camp consisting of a few cabins. From here go north along the logging roads, either driving or walking along the dirt track, for 3.25 mile before cutting right down a steep, overgrown four-wheeler path to the river. Follow the tied yellow markers to the river and falls.
